What this book is:  Part of an established book series for radiology board preparation, A Core Review. A question and answer format book where each chapter has around 20-30 multiple choice questions, many with associated images, and the correct answer with explanations is then provided at the end of the chapter. My version of the book (I assume all current versions) have an interactive eBook code included.  The quality of the printed images in this book are very good.

What this book is not: This book is not a comprehensive review of nuclear medicine.  By virtue of only asking 20-30 questions per chapter many of Nuclear Medicine’s key concepts are covered but this does not approach being a complete review of testable topics.

Additional thoughts: The questions in this book target high-yield areas for board preparation and the quality of the questions, images, and explanations are very good.  However, this is essentially a short qbank in printed form with an interaction eBook option that I didn’t use.  If more multiple choice questions are what you desire then this book is for you given the high quality of the questions.  If you are expecting this to be a comprehensive review of Nuclear Medicine material for board examinations other books may suit you better.

This book is a fairly quick read, well balanced in terms of text and good quality images, does cover some important concepts of Nuclear Medicine Physics, and is designed for advanced learners within weeks to months of a board examination.
